Bentley has discontinued the Home Use program, and has turned off home-use licensing

For specific home-use license requests, users must contact Bentley sales for a 30-day evaluation of an eligible CONNECT Edition product. The SELECT® Agreement states home-use licenses were never intended for commercial, production, evaluation, or training use.

Bentley’s Home Use Licensing Program utilized Bentley’s Bentley’s older, SELECTserver activation key-based licensing technology, which has been depreciated. 

What were the Terms and Conditions for the Home Use Licensing Program?

Use of this license is subject to the End User License Agreement (EULA) that accompanies the software AND the following Terms & Conditions:

• The Home Use license cannot be used for Production Use or for any other commercial-related purposes (including training).
• The Home Use license can only be used at home -- it cannot be used in your office under any circumstance.
• The Home Use license cannot be transferred or distributed to any firm or individual external to your organization.
• The Home Use license file cannot be included on any electronic or print media (CD, floppy, Web site, book, etc.)
• Home Use is allowed by your organization and/or jurisdiction. For more information, see the Home Use FAQ.
