You can open i-models from outside of Navigator for both Windows and mobile devices.  Go to the application, web site or Windows folder where your i-model is located and Navigator launches and the file opens.  When you open a file with this workflow, it opens with the current project of your last session of Navigator.

Note: Navigator CONNECT Edition only supports one instance running at any one time.  You cannot open a file from outside Navigator if Navigator is already running.
