What is Bentley Redline?
Bentley Redline is one of Bentley’s solutions for project participants who need to contribute to the design process, providing multi-function viewing, redlining and print-to-scale solution that extends the reach of design and engineering data. It delivers comprehensive design review, annotation and printing tools for both DGN and DWG content. Markup is easily managed and integrated into designs, enhancing project collaboration and communication and allowing for an efficient transition from markup to design changes.Bentley Redline also supports Microsoft's Visual Basic for Applications environment for customization.
However, effective June 2012, development of Bentley Redline has concluded and future versions of the software will no longer be released.

Who can use Bentley Redline?
Bentley Redline is freely available to Bentley SELECT subscribers.
I'm a Bentley SELECT subscriber and would like to deploy Bentley Redline throughout my organization and utilize SELECTserver to manage its licenses. Can I do so?
Yes. As a Bentley SELECT subscriber utilizing SELECTserver, you are entitled to unlimited Bentley Redline licenses. Bentley Redline can be used as long as the SELECTserver license is valid. These licenses can then be distributed as you see fit, both in and outside of your organization. Create a Service Ticket online in order to obtain your SELECTserver license complete with Bentley Redline as well as instructions on how to activate the software. (In order to ensure proper routing, please make sure to click the link for “All Licensing Related Issues.”
I am a Bentley SELECT subscriber and I would like to enable a project team member from outside of my organization to use Bentley Redline. How can I do so? How is Bentley Redline licensed for them?
If you would like to utilize Bentley Redline with project participants outside your organization, you can grant participants access to your unlimited Redline licenses already available to you as a SELECT subscriber via a Custom Activation Group on your SELECTserver. I am not a Bentley SELECT subscriber nor am I collaborating with a Bentley SELECT member. Can I still use Bentley Redline?
Bentley Redline is a benefit of Bentley SELECT and is only available to Bentley SELECT subscribers utilizing SELECTserver. If you are not a Bentley SELECT subscriber, you can use Bentley View , a different data access product that is freely available.
