What ports need to be open for Bentley Navigator CONNECT Edition to connect?
It only needs HTTPS (Port 443 access)
What are the DNS name exceptions needed for Bentley Navigator CONNECT Edition to successfully connect through a firewall or proxy server.
By default, Bentley Navigator CONNECT Edition, will at various times connect to Bentley servers. If you are having issues with connections, please contact support for the list of serves to allow through the firewall.

What is an imodel file?
The Imodel format is based on SQLite which provides a single format that can be used on mobile and desktop applications. It enables performance on large datasets and it is a true package concept which includes engineering models as well as other information. How do I publish an imodel file?
You can use the publish option in MicroStation which is under the file menu or use I-Model Composition Server to setup scheduled jobs.
Why do I have to sign in with my Communities account to use Bentley Navigator CONNECT Edition?
Logging in to Communities will allow you to sync data and have all data that is part of the Project stored centrally in Bentley Cloud Services. This allows all Project participants access to the most up to date data and the data will stay together throughout the lifecycle of the Project.

Is my data synched locally?
No, Issues resolution punch list items are cached locally and then synched when the sync button is clicked. Once synched, all cached data is updated to Bentley Cloud Services
Is my data encrypted when synched to Bentley Cloud Services?
Yes, all data that is synched through Bentley Navigator CONNECT Edition is encrypted for privacy and security reasons.
Can I access my Issues Resolution Punch list form via my desktop Bentley Navigator CONNECT Edition?
Yes, If you are in the Office on your Bentley Navigator CONNECT Edition app or on a tablet device or even on a MicroSoft Hub conference screen. The workflow and experience will be the same. There is no UI differences. It make the learning and experience simple.
Do I have to be on the internet to access Punch list items?
Yes, you will need to have internet access to access any of the Bentley Cloud Services features such as Issues Resolution
