The Snaps tab can be accessed by selecting the Snaps icon from the Status Bar on the bottom edge. The Snaps tab allows you to choose a Snap mode. Selecting a Snap mode allows you to choose how a point on the model will be defined when you use a tool which requires precise location of a point, such as the measure tool.
From the Snaps tab, you can choose one of the following Snap modes:
- Keypoint, which causes a tentative point to snap to a keypoint on an element.
- Intersection, which causes a tentative point to snap to the intersection between elements.
- Center, which causes a tentative point to snap to the center or centroid of an element.
- Nearest, which causes a tentative point to snap to the point closest to the pointer on an element.
Note: The default Snap Mode is Keypoint.
