Navigator End of Life
Recently, we took the decision to combine our product development initiatives for design review workflows. The impact of this decision is the consolidation of design review product offerings. This decision is driven by our users who require a more efficient way to conduct design reviews for multidiscipline BIM models. Our objective is to deliver a solution that supports the industry’s most commonly used formats, is specialized for design review and coordination workflows, and addresses the most challenging multidiscipline workflows for 3D visualization of change for digital twins.
Navigator product workflows are now available with Bentley’s iTwin Design Review. We encourage users to learn more and get started today with iTwin Design Reviews. Visit iTwin Design Review: Here you will understand the benefits available in our iTwin services from peer and ad hoc design reviews in a hybrid 2D/3D environment to project-level based design reviews for multidiscipline coordination and clash detection.
What this means for you
As you plan to phase out your use of Navigator CONNECT Edition, (note 10.02.01.124 update is the last software update available for desktop and mobile products), you may continue to use Navigator CONNECT Edition and Navigator Mobile with the assurance that both will remain in Expiring Support which provides On-line Submittal of service request, interaction via email, access to online knowledge base. Going forward, usage of Navigator CONNECT Edition and Navigator Mobile will be counted as a Passport rather than a BIM Review Visa, resulting in cost savings to you. Navigator V8i current status is Support Discontinued (no longer supported as of January 1, 2020), is also counted as a Passport rather than a BIM Review Visa.
