Problems loading large models into WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS or HAMMER for ArcMap, ArcGIS hangs when trying to work with / open a very large WaterGEMS, SewerGEMS or HAMMER model.

Try increasing the JET lock/creation setting in ArcMap.:
1) Go to the Utilities directory of ArcMap. For example, in ArcGIS 10.5 it might be: C:\Program Files (x86)\ArcGIS\Desktop10.5\Utilities
2) Run AdvancedArcMapSettings.exe
3) On the "Editor" tab, raise the value of "JET engine max # of records to calculate:". Make it somewhere in the neighborhood of 600000-2000000, which should cover any WaterGEMS use-case.
4) Click Apply > Close and try again.
