Scenario 1
The model Database file (.mdb) is huge and takes so much time to open or save. I run the Compact Database tool under Tools menu > Database Utilities. In the CONNECT Edition releases of the products go to File > Database Utilities > Compact Database.
Is there anything else I can do?

When opening a model, the following error appears.
Unable to open user roster (HRESULT 16r80004005)

On top of using the Database Utilities tools, like Compact Database and Update Database Cache, open the database file (.mdb) in Microsoft Access, and use the Compact and Repair too, in the Ribbon. This should purge data and free up space.
