I have applied a demand to a model using Loadbuilder and then merged some of the junctions. If merge the junctions first and then apply the demand with Loadbuilder, I get different results. Why is this happening?
When going through the Loadbuilder steps, on the first screen after choosing the shapefile, there is an item called "Use Previous Run." As a computation time saving measure, if this item is checked, it will pull in spatial data used previously and apply this to the model.
If this is checked, it will not apply the demand as desired. For large models where precision might not be necessary, this would save time.
By unchecking this item, the demands for the merged model and the unmerged model are the same.
