Problem

Is is possible to open a WinStorm file (.stm) directly into StormCAD, CivilStorm or SewerGEMS?

Solution

While StormCAD version 5.6 files are also .stm files, it is not possible to directly open a WinStorm file in StormCAD, since the formatting of the data within the file will be very different. As a workaround, you can try to export the WinStorm model into a LandXML format. This would need to be done within WinStorm itself. Once the file is converted into a LandXML file, you can then import the .xml file into StormCAD by going to File > Import > LandXML.
