During or after installation of FlowMaster or CulvertMaster, the following error appears:
"Runtime error: attempt to exit from the same method more than once"
(log error: "close" not understood or "initializeLicensingModel" not understood)
First, make sure the user has administrator rights before installing.
This error may be caused by interference from another security application, such as McAfee Antivirus. Please temporarily disable such programs during the installation of FlowMaster or CulvertMaster. Once it is installed, the security applications can be reinstated.
In at least one case, the latest cumulative patch set for CulvertMaster needed to be installed after installing CulvertMaster itself. As of January, 2019, this is listed on the Software Download site as a prerequisite for CulvertMaster 3.3. Installation of the patch may also detect any missing Microsoft .NET Framework components on your computer and reinstall the necessary version, which may resolve the issue in question.
Try a "clean" re-installation, which involves uninstalling (if the installation did complete), clear out any left-over files, then reinstall. See details here:
How do I perform a clean uninstall and reinstall of the Hydraulic and Hydrology products?
If the above does not resolve the issue. This error may be due to a specific component in the installation routine which requires a user interface. For Flowmaster, to resolve this, please submit a service request or forum post for a modified version of the installation (FlowMaster_08.11.01.03a.exe)
If you get an error when trying to deploy this new .MSI, stating that it's not a valid .MSI package, please try renaming the file name of the .MSI to something else, such as flowmaster.msi.
Check to see if the software runs from a different Windows user account. If so, then the issue may be with the User profile, and needs to be recreated.
