What are the units used for pump inertia, as seen in theĀ Transient Analysis OutputĀ Log?
As with other results and output in the text reports, the units are based on the coordinate units of the model. Basically, if your model is in SI units, the X/Y coordinates will be in meters, in which case the units will be SI in the text reports.
For the case of pump inertia, the units used for SI (meters for coordinate unit) is N-m^2 and the units used for US (feet for coordinate units) are lb-ft^2 (pound-force, written without the suffix 'f'). So, HAMMER will convert the input values if they are in different units. If required units of inertia can be changed through pump definition.
How does pump inertia effect the pump calculations during a transient simulation?
