Problem Description

What files are necessary to work with a WaterCAD for AutoCAD drawing?

Solution

For AutoCAD, the files that are required in order to open a project are the .DWG (the AutoCAD drawing file). With the water products, you would need the .WTG and the .WTG.SQLITE. For the storm and sewer products, these files would be the .STSW and .STSW.SQLITE files. The .sqlite files are the database files that store most of the project information. The hydraulics and hydrology files and AutoCAD files all need to be in located in the same folder. You should also know that the .DWG file is linked to the other hydraulics and hydrology files and is actually what you open from the 'File > Open' menu in AutoCAD in order to open the WaterCAD for AutoCAD project file.
