How can I fix my operators report graphic for a flushing analysis from coming out blurry after it was exported to a PDF?
1) Install a PDF printer such as Soda PDF, Print to PDF, Cute PDF, Primo PDF, or another free PDF printer.
2) Then instead of exporting your operators report to a PDF using the File > Export > PDF, choose File > Print. On the page where you are asked to select a printer choose the new PDF printer driver that installed from step 1. Be sure to select the appropriate quality setting.
If that doesn't help you may also try adjusting your report primary view as follows:
1) Click on the Primary View icon underneath the Report Views folder in the Flushing manager tree (highlighted by the red box)
2) Click on the Primary Report View button in the upper right of that window (outlined in purple above)
3) Now draw a bounding box for the area that will be shown on your operators report and make it as tight around the area and as small as possible.
Note that if needed you can add secondary views of the area by clicking on the Report Views folder, which is located directly above the Primary View icon outlined in red above. Once you do this the right side of the dialog will give you a location to add in other secondary views of the area.
If your report background or your pipes are still blurry, try the following:
1) Go to Analysis > Flushing... and choose to print your operator's report (Flushing Event Field Report).
2) On the print preview screen go to File > Page Setup and change the size to A3, A2, or 11" x 17" (any size that is larger than 8.5" x 11") and try setting the orientation of the paper to landscape. You can always change it back to portrait if that looks better.
3) After that click the OK button to close the page setup dialog box and close the print preview window. Now run the operators report again and this time when you open the window the paper size should appear larger and the image should be clearer. The large you make the paper size the more clear the image should become.
