Problem
When mousing (hovering) over the plan view, the X and Y coordinates automatically update at the bottom of the product. How can the Z coordinate (elevation) also be shown when moving the cursor over the plan view?
Solution
To see the elevation (Z coordinate) as you move you mouse over the plan view, you must have an activate terrain model attached. See: Using Downstream Trace and Digital Terrain Models
With the terrain model attached, the Z coordinate for a given location will be known and when you move your mouse over the terrain model, you will see it displayed at the bottom-right, next to the X and Y. See screenshot below.
NOTE: for version 10.02.03.03, there is a known issue with this feature (defect # 1070383) and the Z coordinate will be missing / not shown when using a terrain model. To resolve this issue, please upgrade to a newer version when available, or contact Technical Support for the latest cumulative patch set for version 10.02.03.03.
