What do the different colored lines represent, when viewing a profile in the Transient Results Viewer?
The colors represent different things depending on the type or profile you are looking at:
(default) Graph Type = Hydraulic Grade and Air/Vapor Volume
Red line = maximum HGL
Blue line = minimum HGL
Black lines = initial and current
Green line = physical elevation
Note: to animate the profiles, ensure you have "true" selected for "Generate Animation Data" in the transient calculation options. See more: Using Transient Results Viewer animations for visualizing a transient simulation
Graph Type = Pressure and Air/Vapor Volume
Red line = maximum pressure
Blue line = minimum pressure
Black lines = initial and current
Green line = initial pressure
Note: that shape of the pressure profile will be different from the shape of the HGL profile because the pressure profile is dependent upon the node elevation, whereas the hydraulic grade profile is independent from the elevation (datum of sea level).
You can also see a legend by clicking the Settings button in the upper-left corner, then choose Profile Options and click the "Color" tab.
For example for the HGL type:
