Problem

Error modeling channel: "No channel is connected to the cross-section node. Add a channel or change the node to another node type."

However, there is a link set as a channel connected to the cross section.

Solution

The issue is related to the link element you are using. There are a couple of ways that you can model a channel in the storm-sewer products. It is possible to add a conduit element and set it as a channel. This method works fine if you are connecting the conduit to a manhole, catch basin, or transition element. However, if you are using a cross section, you must use the other method of modeling a channel, which is to use the actual channel element. When you use a channel element, the information for the upstream and downstream ends of the channel are entered in the cross section properties.

If you are using a cross section, you can only be used with the channel element to model a channel. If you replace the existing conduit with a channel instead, the model will compute fine. If you want to keep the conduit in the model to model the channel, you will need to replace the cross section at the upstream end with another element type, such as a transition, manhole, or catch basin.
