Problem
When labeling features in the ArcMap platform, why does the label not show up for some elements?
Solution
1) Right-click on the layer corresponding to the element type in question (such as "pipe") and choose properties.
2) Go to the Labels tab.
3) Click the "Placement Properties..." button.
4) On the Placement tab, there is a group of radio buttons under the "Duplicate Labels" heading. By default, the option will be set to "Remove duplicate labels".
5) Switch this option to "Place one label per feature", then click OK.
6) Click Apply or OK on the Layer Properties dialog.
All of the elements should now be labeled.
