Render Lagrangian model output results

This article briefly explains how to visualize Lagrangian model results (when MOHID Water's numerical engine for coastal applications) in OpenFlows FLOOD 10.03.00.01. 

Problem

In version 10.03.00.01 of OpenFlows FLOOD when loading an HDF5 output file containing Lagrangian particles cloud model results the software becomes unresponsive due to an incompatibilty between the user interface and the format of the HDF5 file written by MOHID Water. 

Solution

The solution to this problem is to use a corrected version of MOHID Water executable that correctly writes the results in a format that OpenFlows FLOOD can read.

 Follow the steps below to correctly use this executable in OpenFlows FLOOD: 

1. Download the executable and unzip in a folder in your computer
2. Go to OpenFlows FLOOD Help menu -> Settings
3. In the executables list, select MOHID Water and browse for the executable file located in the folder created in step 1
4. Press OK.
5. Re-run the simulations that generate the Lagrangian outputs
6. Load the new Lagrangian outputs to the Map window.
