I want to keep existing elements as they are and only design sizes and inverts of proposed / new elements. How can I prevent constraint based design from adjusting certain elements?
There are some cases where you may want to "set" the invert or size of an element such as the invert of the final outfall. Or, you may have some existing pipes and you only want constraint based design to automatically design the size and invert of the new elements.
In this case, you can tell the program to not design the size or invert of specific elements. In the properties or flextables of the element, choose "false" for:
Manholes, transitions and outfalls:
Design Structure Elevation?
Catchbasins:
Design Structure Elevation?
Design Inlet Opening?
Conduits:
Design Conduit?
Design Start Invert?
Design Stop Invert?
NOTE: constraint based design is available in SewerCAD, StormCAD, using the GVF-Rational solver in CivilStorm and using the GVF-Rational or GVF-Convex solver in SewerGEMS.
Is there any way to only adjust the pipe size without changing the invert?
