Overview
The user can get the current weather conditions and predictions, including temperature and precipitation, for the selected Digital Twin. Both the daily forecast for the next 7 days as well as the hourly forecast for the next 48 hours are displayed.
The weather conditions are automatically generated and coming from an IBM service and are based on the coordinates defined for the Digital Twin, which can be changed on the Settings Page. Usually this coordinates correspond to the approximated central point of the digital twin.
It is also important to refer that weather data coming from IBM service is used not only to populate this dashboard, but can also be used to automatically calculate demand predictions that can be used for the model runs. More information here. Specifically when dealing with sewer systems, the weather forecast conditions are a direct input to the Sewer Model, which will run based on the forecasted rainfall conditions.
