Error Message Importing from Excel

7 Out of memory===gInt8a

Explanation

Sometimes in Excel, you can have rows that appear empty but have nulls or spaces.  If there are too many of these rows importing to gINT will fail.

How To Correct

To see if this is the problem, open the Excel file.  Click Ctrl+End on your keyboard.  This will move the cursor to the last row with data.  If the cursor goes to an empty row, then it contains either nulls or spaces.   If it is a few thousand rows below your data this is the problem.

To fix this:

  1. Copy the data to a new worksheet.
  2. Delete the original worksheet.
  3. Rename the new worksheet.
  4. If needed, repeat in other worksheets.
