When installing HoleBASE SI, you are presented with options to install either the Professional or Standard versions of HoleBASE SI. The version that you should install will be dependant on the version that you have licences for. If you do not have a licence for one of the products, you will not be able to run it.

Explanation

In organisations with more than one licence, it may be applicable that there are multiple licences available, some Standard, some Professional. In this case, it may be worth reviewing whether to install one, or both of the versions.

Why should I install Standard?

If you wish to use all of the powerful features of the HoleBASE SI product, including;

Data Importing and Editing
Import and Export of AGS and CSV data
Log Production
Data Mining Tools
Document Library
QA, Statistics and Report views

Then HoleBASE SI Standard is the recommended version that you should install.

Why should I install Professional?

If you wish to use all of the powerful features of HoleBASE Standard, plus;

Project Locator Mapping
Mapping and GIS tools
Section Production
Export to XYZ and XYZZ

Then HoleBASE SI Professional is the recomended version that you should install.

It is perfectly acceptable to have both versions installed on the same machine. In this setup, a licence of Standard could be used for day to day tasks, leaving the Professional licence free for other users to use.
