How to use Filter Groups in Template Studio

Explanation

Filter groups are used in Template Studio to filter out results of a specific value. For example you may have many sample types but for some reason only need to show "B" (Bulk). To make Template Studio filter on "B" you first need to set up the filter group.

Process

Please follow the steps below;

• Open Template Studio and your template
• from the ribbon select "Filter Groups"

• Once the window opens Select "Add"
• Give the filter a name and select the group you want to filter (in the example im filtering by sample information).
• Highlight your created filter group and select "Filters"
• Select "Add"
• Select the group you want to filter
• Select the field you want to filter

Select your condition

Select your value

Select "ok" to save the changes and then "ok" again to the following window.

• Save the template, close it and open it again.
• If you now go to the properties box for the group you have filtered by you can select the filter group you have created.

Now when you preview the template it should filter the results based on your filter group.
