One or More Named Ranges contain Invalid References

When working with an existing spreadsheet that you have imported into KeyLAB the program checks to see if there are any invalid named ranges in the spreadsheet. If there are KeyLAB displays the following warning:-
One or more named ranges contain invalid references. It is recommended that you use the Name Manager to review and correct them.
Any ranges that have #ref! in their Refers To column should be deleted using the Name Manager icon in the Formulas Ribbon before the sheet is imported into KeyLAB.
However there are occasions when this message continues to be displayed even if all the invalid named ranges appear to have been removed. If this is the case then you need to check the following:-
  1. Does the spreadsheet use the Iserror() function? If so this may need to be removed as it has been known to cause KeyLAB problems importing a sheet.
  2. Are there hidden names on the sheet? This is impossible to determine just using the Excel interface (thanks Microsoft!) but you can download a free advanced name manager application from http://www.jkp-ads.com/OfficeMarketPlaceNM-EN.asp that will show you all hidden names. This problem can be caused by a number of problems including if the sheet was once used in Lotus 123!
