This can happen when the machine in question is running from a licence file. One approach would be to plug in a dongle which has been enabled for KeyAGS as this will provide an immediate solution. However, as a file based licence has been provided to serve a site licence, allowing multiple machines to be enabled, it clearly is not the best long term solution.
There are a number of steps to addressing this problem, some of which require administrator rights.
1. Ensure that you have the original keyags4.gol to hand. This might be from a CD or similar media, as orginally provided by Keynetix, or sent through by one of our support staff (please contact support@keynetix.com for further help if necessary).
2. Browse through to C:\Program Files\Keynetix\KeyAGS4\Licence\ and remove the licence.gol file from that location, assuming one is present.
3. Browse through to C:\Program Files\Keynetix\KeyAGS4\, right click the AGSChecker.exe file and select 'Run as Administrator'. The AGS Checker will now launch in free mode.
4. From the AGS Checker select Help | Licence... and browse through to the file specified in step one above. Note: if the Checker has not been 'Run as Administrator' this process can return an error.
5. Close the Checker and run the KeyAGS Excel Add-In. It may now also require licencing using the file from step one - go to Help | Licence... if so.
Licencing the two components of the AGS Toolkit in this manner should allow them both to run in Professional mode.
