Further Reading

The schedule report is a standard Excel Extension report that pulls data from the "Samples by Geology query" in HoleBASE SI. The HoleBASE SI data is reported into the green columns as shown below and is easy to set up with the standard Excel Extension techniques.

The report sheet has two buttons on it that call VBA routines and this is where the advance techniques are used.

The button that allows the user to schedule looks at the cell the user is currently in and checks the header cell for that column (the part in blue above). If there is a comment in the header cell for that column (LL/PL, Organic and Triaxial Quick Undrained) then it will display a simple form with the comment at the top and record what the user enters into the form into the comment box on the current cell.

The button that creates the KeyAGS Schedule looks along the header row until it finds a blank cell (shown in red above) and then looks at the list of tests to the right of this box until it finds another blank cell. It then creates a line in the KeyAGS sheet for each sample that has a "1" in the cell and includes the test name in the blue box. The test names in the pink boxes are not used by the program; they are just there for the user to see the tests in a language they understand rather than KeyLAB or AGS test codes.

To add tests to the sheet you need to change the blue cells, for the VBA routine, and change the pink cells for the user. The header row is hidden by default so you will need to unhide it before you can change it. There is no limited to the number of tests the sheet will work with.

This sheet is provided as proof of concept report from Keynetix and should be tested by the user before being made operational.
