Learn how to group your levels...kind of like what you might have done in V7.
This is short, sweet and right to the point. :-)
To group levels together, like you did in V7, download this file and follow these steps:
- Open the Level Manager and aquaint yourself with the 24 levels. Notice that they have common prefixes...this is to facilitate the easy creation of level filters.
- Highlight Filters and notice there are "No Filters Available".
- In the right side of the dialog, do a right-click > New and rename the New Filter to something else such as Base Map.
- Poke in the Level Group field as shown below.
- In the resulting dialog, simply select the levels you want to group together.
- Press OK
- On the left side of the Level Manager, expand the Filter category.
- Highlight the newly created filter and note the display of the levels belonging to that filter on the right side.
Using the method described above, create a new filter called Gas Map and add the the following levels to it:
cul_TOWN
cul_TOWN_TEXT
grd_SEC
grd_TEXT
grd_TWP
hyd_INTERMIT
hyd_PERINIAL
hyd_TEXT
ppl_GAS
wel_SPOTS
- To use these new filters, set Temp as the active level then open the Level Display dialog.
- Turn off all levels
- Set the mode to Filters and notice the dialog now displays the two filters we created above
- Turn on and off Base Map just like you would a normal level. Notice that this time you're controlling the display of all levels belonging to that particular filter.
