Not happy with the results when using Acrobat's PDFwriter? Try these postscript drivers that have been optimized to use with Acrobat Distiller. With many thanks to Jim Haney for this contribution!

Here are three plot drivers that will produce postscript plot files that can be used with Acrobat Distiller to create high quality PDF files from MicroStation V8.


PS2PDFSMALL.PLT
This driver has page size, line weights and styles optimized for both Letter (A-size) and Tabloid (B-size) output.


PS2PDFLARGE.PLT
This driver handles up to E-size sheets with line weights and styles correspondingly increased for use on the larger sheets.


PS2PDF8550LASER.PLT
In order to accomodate an HP8550GN color laserjet printer - which uses dry color toner and results in thinner line weights - the line weights in this driver have been been bumped up to suit.


Note that all of the drivers were optimized for use on various 600 DPI Hewlett-Packard plotters such as: 1055CM, 2500CP, 750CM and 2500Cxi color inkjets.

The following image is a screen shot of a PDF file created from Acrobat Distiller which in turn used a postscript file created in MicroStation with PS2PDFSMALL.PLT.
