The following appears when trying to install SACS.
"Failed to install iTwin Analytical Synchronizer with error code 0x80070002"
Why and how to avoid it?

Answer

There could be any number of reasons why the installer could not run as intended (ex. internet connection, Proxy Server settings, Virus protection, Permission, Company Policy, etc). In this particular case, a very specific error code was mentioned: 0x80070002. 

Search the internet for reasons and solutions to this error code. In this case appears that 0x80070002, is related to the Windows Operating System.  

Suggestions to resolve the error as the following options:

1. Contact the company IT department and ask that they address any common issues related to internet connection, Proxy Server settings, Virus protection, Permission, Company Policy, etc.
2. If the computer does not have internet access, then during installation, suggest unchecking "Select Features to Install - iTwin Analytical Synchronizer". 
3. Download and install iTwin Analytical Synchronizer before running the SACS installer. 

Installing the iTwin Analytical Synchronizer is not a prerequisite, but a separate installation. You can download the installer from the Bentley software download site and install the program. If you do not install it, SACS will still run, but you won't be able to make full use of the export and import feature of some type of file, for example, exporting accurate steel detailing information from SACS to ProSteel and other programs.
