W2164-114:The value of "Poisson's ratio" is zero for following beam section material(s)

Problem:

The following appears in the model consistency check report:

* * * W A R N I N G - MODEL * * *
W2164-114:The value of "Posion" is zero for following beam section material(s)

STEEL

How to avoid it and fix it?

Solution:

This message will usually appear when:

      1. Importing a model into AutoPIPE
      2. Performing a Model Consistency check
      3. Runing an analysis

The beam materials that are listed have Poisson’s ratio values that are either 0.00 or blank, and the system can't work with these numbers.

Suggest opening up all the Beam Section IDs in your model that have one of these materials and check to make sure the Poisson’s ratio is greater than 0.00 and not blank. When you find each one that has this problem, go ahead and update those Beam Section IDs by changing the Poisson’s ratio to whatever numbers make the most sense for your specific project.

Note: May be combined with E723-23: System is not complete for analysis purposes
