Overview
In OpenPlant Modeler, users may observe that custom specification data for Mitered Bend dimensions is not being fetched from the specification, and the software instead uses a default radius value during placement.
This issue typically occurs when the custom specification database does not contain the required BEND_RADIUS column. Without this column, OpenPlant Modeler cannot map the unique geometric requirements of a mitered bend from the specification and therefore falls back to the default software-defined bend radius.
Adding the missing BEND_RADIUS column and reloading the specification resolves the issue and allows Mitered Bend dimensions to be correctly read from the spec.
Steps to Resolve:-
1. Open the specification currently being used for Mitered Bend placement.
2. Go to FAB_FIT
3. Verify that the specification does not contain the BEND_RADIUS column.
4. Add a column and name it to BEND_RADIUS. Fill up the data with bend radius values.
5. Switch to Design View in the Specification Manager.
6. Set the Data Type of the BEND_RADIUS to Number.
7. Save the specification changes.
8. In OpenPlant Modeler, reload the specification.
9. Place a Mitered Bend and verify that the dimensions are now being correctly taken from the specification.
