Overview
Profiles are an in-app feature across iTwin IoT, they allow you to save a layout and return to it at any time. Each module of the platform contains its own set of Profiles that are specific to that module. Once a profile has been created it is possible to share it with other Users within your organization. In this way, they will have access to view the exact data sets that will be displayed as you have specified for that profile. Permissions may be set to restrict access to a profile so that you have complete control of who can view, edit, and own that profile.
By saving profiles under Dashboards, Graphs and Reports modules, you will have the ability to easily collaborate with your colleagues. You can save critical and informative displays that are vital to interpreting and understanding your data in iTwin IoT.
Profiles are accessed in the same way across the platform by clicking on each respective component, such as Reports, Graphs or Dashboards. Some profile selection screens have specific features for them, we will go over them in this article.
For all profile selection screens you have the option to
Changing the name of a profile can be done by selecting the profile and clicking the pencil icon for its name in the upper left corner.
For Dashboard profiles you have the option to set a specific dashboard as the default dashboard.
This will be the default page that you are shown once you select your specific Asset from the Asset selection screen.
Selecting a Graph profile is done by clicking the respective profile name. This will take you to the Profile itself so you can view data, edit the layout and change sharing settings of the profile.
Selecting a Report profile is done by clicking the respective profile name. This will take you to the Profile itself so you can view data, edit the layout and change sharing settings of the profile.
On this selection page you can also see when the Report was last run via automatic scheduling, when it's scheduled and how many users are receiving the automatic report.
By hovering to the right of a Report profile you also have the option to view the history of the Report or to delete the profile.
