Overview
This article will go over how to share Profiles and Alerts in iTwin IoT with other Users in your asset. To see how Profiles work within iTwin IoT please read the Module Profiles article.
After you have created a profile or alert and you are confident with it being ready for other users to view it then you can share it with those users.
You can either share it with individual users or with all of the current and future users in your Asset.

How to share Profiles
For each created Profile within iTwin IoT there is a Sharing setting in the top right that dictates which users within that Asset can see and/or edit this profile. This setting can be found in the top right corner when editing a Profile.
If you click that button you are presented with three sharing settings.
Private: This is only visible to you and no other user. Good for when you are still editing a profile and it is not ready yet.
Restricted: This option enables you to share the profile with particular users. Useful when you want to collaborate with a colleague for that profile but it is not ready yet to share with an external user in the Asset. This list is immutable, so any new user that is added to the system will not see this profile.
Project Wide: This setting is for sharing the profile with every current and future users within the Asset.
For a Report profile you have the option of the scheduled report being sent via email to particular users or not. The default setting for all users except you is to opt-out of emails. You can enable them per user.
Bulk edit share settings
For Profiles you can also select multiple Profiles or just one and edit the sharing settings that way. You can do this while in the Profile selection screen.
How to share Alerts
Sharing settings for Alerts behave the exact same way as Alerts for Profiles except that the setting is accessible at the bottom of the configuration page of each respective Alert. You also have the option for sending emails to users or not for Alerts.
