Q. Why the program does not use both Tubesheet thickness in calculations?

Problem:

When entering different values for Fixed and Floating Tubesheet thickness, the program only shows one value for calculations: why?

Example:

Fixed = 92mm and Floating = 85mm

Analyze the model and generate report.

Notice the Load condition 1 , thickness taken only the lowest of the 2 values, 85mm

Notice the Tubesheet Summary where the Thickness is only taken as the larger of the 2 values, 92mm

Solution:

As per ASME design code the two tubesheets shall have the same thickness.
AutoPIPE Vessel uses a conservative approach and consider the minimum of thicknesses in tubesheets checking and the maximum of thicknesses for weight design.
