Download and Installation Instructions
Installation files for current and past STAAD Foundation Advanced releases can be downloaded from the Bentley Software Download page. After signing-in, the STAAD Foundation Advanced installers can be located by selecting STAAD in the Brand menu and clicking Apply or searching for STAAD Foundation in the Product Search box.
This version of STAAD Foundation Advanced can also be installed through the CONNECTION Client update service or through the Structural WorkSuite Hub.
This version of STAAD Foundation Advanced can be installed side by side with the previous versions.
Please refer to the Installation Guide for any help with installation. Please refer to the Systems Configuration Guide for system requirements.
Enhancements:
This update of STAAD Foundation Advanced 2025 includes the following enhancements and minor changes.
- Design for crack-width: Adds optional crack width checks for design to ACI 318 (2014 & 2019) and IS 456 (2000), for all foundation types and takes corrective steps to address any failures. The reinforcement design in previous versions did not include the effects of crack width.

- Workflow Simplification: Introduces user-defined property defaults with automatic assignments for design codes, material, soil properties, design options, and more. This significantly reduces the manual operations required in previous versions.

- Adjusting foundation levels: Allows changing foundation levels for all foundation types after they have been created, with automatic recalculation of the pedestal heights and soil overburden & hydrostatic pressures for consistent results. The earlier versions only allowed specifying the foundation levels during the creation of foundations.

- Extended control for stability checks: Allows specifying individual sliding and overturning factors of safety for stability checks for each load combination. The previous versions only allowed one value each for sliding and overturning for all load combinations.

- Circular Mat Design: Enables design of circular mats with orthogonal reinforcement as per ACI 318 (2014 & 2019) and IS 456 (2000). The previous versions only allowed modelling and analysis of such foundation types.

- Foundation modelling with reactions: Enables the modeling, analysis, and design of all foundation types by modeling pedestals and applying reactions of multiple load combinations directly to them, without the need to import a STAAD superstructure model. In previous versions, pedestals could only be generated for files having an imported superstructure model based on the top of foundation and bottom of column elevation but could not be created or loaded independently. Ideal for:
- Analyzing and designing foundations for specific structures in a project that do not require an exclusive superstructure model.
- Performing preliminary foundation dimensioning and BOQ estimates with specific sets of reaction loads.
- Analyzing and designing of foundations whose superstructure has been analyzed with a third-party application.

Defect Corrections:
- Data saving and model reading issues which prevented reading and opening of files from previous versions in the last released 2025 (25.00.00) version.
- Underestimated soil loads for foundations with bottom alignment specifications and analyzed as rigid bodies.
- Over-estimated soil loads for foundations defined with top alignment specification and the option to consider foundation thickness for load transfer turned off and analyzed using the rigid body method.
- Overestimated design moments for pile punching.
- An incorrect value of percentage of steel being reported for one way shear checks of mat foundations to IS 456:2000.
- Incorrect reporting of factor of safety for pile compression capacity in summary table report, detailed report and results summary report.
- Incorrect self-weight value displayed in the mat property page during mat foundation modelling. This did not affect the analysis or design results.
- Incorrect design values shown in UI after changing units for reinforcement area for the rendered view.
- Crash Issues that were reported for specific workflows in the previous versions.
