The Explorer feature of iTwin IoT consists primarily of 2 important components: Sensor Management and the Calculation Designer.
You will see the introduction of Groups and Properties throughout to compliment these features, giving users a number of configurable display options. We also bring in the concepts of connections and devices along the way.
The sensor management feature will enable a user customizable hierarchical tree, introducing the concept of groups and properties. This leverages and builds on a number of the capabilities within the existing Connectivity feature but puts the organization of sensors into the hands of the users so that real world industrial and/or familiar layouts can be synchronized and maintained.
The calculation designer feature allows users the ability to create, configure and schedule calculations based on a variety of sensor inputs using an extensive library of both standard and industry specific calculator functions. These calculations can be scheduled for automatic generation of new observations or immediately triggered when new observations are received.
