Sharing, Duplicating (Copying), and Deleting Graph Profiles

Overview

Graph profiles can be shared with other users on the asset, create new graph profiles by copying an existing profile, and delete a graph profile. This can be done on the Graph Profiles Overview page, or from inside a Graph profile. Both options will be covered in sections below.

Managing a Graph profile from Graph Profiles Overview page

Graph profiles can be managed from the main Graph Profiles page. In fact, multiple profiles settings can be changed at once from this page.

1. Select Profile- Before the share, duplicate, and delete options are available on the graphs page, you must select the checkbox of a graph profile. If you would like to make the same changes to multiple graph profiles, you can check multiple graph profile checkboxes at this stage.

2. Share Profile-  To share the profile with other users, click the share button to open up the sharing window. The three options will be explained below.

a. Private- By default, all profiles are set to private until they are shared. This means only the creator of the profile has access and visibility to the profile.

b. Restricted- By selecting Restricted, you can choose the users that you would like to have access to the profile by using the search bar or scrolling through the user list. A checkbox next to their name means they will have access. Unchecking a user means they will lose access and no longer be able to see a profile.

c. Project-wide - Project-wide access will give all users on the project access to the profile.

d. Save- Click the "Save" button to save your changes.

3. Delete Profile- Clicking the trashcan button allows you to delete a graph profile permanently.

4. Duplicate Profile- The Duplicate button will open a new graph profile configuration window, called Copy, with all of the settings of the original profile. This is very useful for retaining graph configuration options, then applying them to different sensors or metrics, or if you would like to create the same graph profile with different time-frame selections.
