The flange dimensional parameters within the Flange Analysis module can be configured using the following approaches:
- Standard Library Defaults, dimensions are sourced from the FlangeDimLib.db file, which includes standardized data from codes such as ASME B16.5, EN, etc.
- User may manually define all flange, bolt, and gasket dimensions by deselecting the Auto Flange/Bolt/Gasket Dimensions option located in the Flange Check module under the Flange tab.
- If you prefer not to enter values manually but require dimensions different from those provided by the default standards, you can modify the FlangeDimLib.db file to reflect your specific requirements.
- The library file is located at: C:\Program Files\Bentley\AutoPIPE 2025
- Please note that the FlangeDimLib.db file can only contain either standard code values or custom-defined values at a time.
- You can open and modify the .db file in DB Browser (DB Browser for SQLite)
WARNING:
- A good approach is to always copy an original file and keep that in safe location for future reference.
