Introduction

The land-climate interaction (LCI) boundary condition in SEEP/W is used to model the water balance at the ground surface. The water balance includes rainfall, snowmelt, actual evaporation, and runoff. The behavior of the boundary condition during solve-time depends partly on the air temperature.

This example demonstrates how to interpret the net infiltration during a snow melt event when the air temperature is transitioning across the 0ºC freezing threshold.
