  • Mandatory: A value of 0 marks it not mandatory, while a value of 1 marks it mandatory, meaning it needs a value defined.
  • Default Value: Defines a default value for the attribute which can consist of any combination of characters.
  • Class: The Class field displays a drop list with options Variable (Val) or Collection. The Collection options means you can define a list of predefined values which the user can select from to define the attribute. 2. Click either the Equipment UDAs or Raceway UDAs tab.
  3. Click Add.
  4. Enter a new Name for the UDA.
  5. Expand the arrow under the Name field to display the UDA properties.
  6. Define values for the following attribute properties:
    • Mandatory
    • Default value
    • Class
  7. Once the properties have been defined, click Apply to save the attribute.
  8. Continue to define new attributes, or, if finished in the Options dialog, click OK to close.
Once a new UDA is added to the raceway catalog, it can be associated when routing raceways:
Newly added UDA attributes are automatically available in the Properties dialog and those attributes will be included in i-model and reports.
