Improvements for 4D cloud collaboration project
- Only synchronize the changes from iModel - For iModel-first users when iModel is the main source of geometry, there is now a significant reduction of sync time from when changes occurring in iModel to when 4D Pro users can see them in the product. This feature can be requested by raising a help ticket: https://www.bentley.com/support/. In the support ticket please provide your projectId which can be found in the Bentley Infrastructure Project url https://infrastructurecloud.bentley.com/{projectId}/home.
- Clicking on user ID in the Transactions tab now opens user info page – to find details on which user submitted the specific transaction.

- Improvements and fixes on Layouts for multi-user collaboration:
- Fixed the problem that SYNCHRO 4D Pro crashes when switching between saved layouts
- Refactored Layouts on multiple issues, including that Task Filter(s) saved in Layouts is not visible to another user
Performance improvements when working on large projects
- Smoother camera zooming with new area zooming algorithm - A new area zoom option in 3D View > Camera allows smoother, broader camera zooming with the mouse wheel. When enabled, zooming is slower but more flexible; when disabled, the camera zooms faster and focuses on a single point. This option is useful if the default camera zoom is not ideal.
- Improved 3D scene responsiveness by adding geometry conversion. This new Triangulate Shells option, when enabled, works around the issue where 3D View might seem slower during camera interactions. This leads to slightly enhanced 3D scene responsiveness and reduced delays during camera interactions.
- Fixed the issue of filtering Resources takes too long on specific user project – from hours down to seconds.
- Improved loading/unloading models on large projects with new option - When the option is enabled, all 3D objects are loaded into memory at project open and remain loaded; loading/unloading in the 3D Objects tree only controls visibility like 3D filters. It is best for workflows where frequent toggling, navigation, or interaction with many objects is expected throughout the session. But it also may result in slower project opening initially, higher memory usage, and a trade-off with not as fast or smooth overall performance.
