How To Import AutoPLANT models in OpenPlant Modeler

Background

In OpenPlant Modeler, you can import AutoPlant Models.
This requires iModel Connector for AutoPLANT to publish data to iModelHub/PlantSight.

Note: iModel Connector for AutoPLANT is available as a separate installer through Bentley Software Downloads. This utility is also available through AutoPLANT Modeler installer (and can be installed along with AutoPLANT Modeler).

Steps to Accomplish

To Import AutoPLANT models in OpenPlant Modeler, first load OpenPlant Modeler in the WorkSet that was Setup with OpenPlant schema.
Note: Refer step 3 from Migration Workflow.
  1. Create a New file in this WorkSet.

    New file Launches.

  2. Click AutoPLANT Import from Utilities menu from the ribbon. For example,

    AutoPLANT Import dialog opens.

  3. Click Load available AutoPLANT Model Names () to load all models from the iTwin.

    Select All () to select the models to be imported into OpenPlant Modeler.

    or

    Make selection from the list manually through the check boxes to import the selected set of models.

  4. Click Import () and click Fit View.

    All selected set of models turns to green color showing that these models have been imported into the OpenPlant Modeler file. For exapmle,

  5. Click Upgrade imported components .

    Converts imported components to OpenPlant Modeler components.
