Overview
When opening a spec, the following error message appears:
Problem Description
The spec file may be corrupted. This can cause unwanted modification in the spec which the Specification Generator flags and throws the error. This does not allow user to successfully open the spec in the SpecGen for any modification.
When the spec is opened using Microsoft Access, it shows the table columns to be affixed by "_OPM" compared to the Out-of-the-Box specs.
The cause for the issue can be of different nature such as, but not limited to:
- Sudden closure of SpecGen without saving spec
- SpecGen crashing
- Corruption of Access file
Steps to Resolve
- Open the spec in Microsoft Access
- Open the SpecConstraints table
- Change the View to Design View
- Remove "_OPM" in the Field Name
- Save the table
- Repeat the steps 3-5 for other tables having the "_OPM"
