When analyzing local loads, why MC and ML moments are not combined into a resulting bending moment?

Question

When analyzing external loads on an elliptical base, the MC and ML moments are not combined into a resulting bending moment.

Answer

For local load on sphere (e.g. head), it is mentioned in the help topic that the longitudinal moment ML is only considered with WRC method, and not used for other methods:

In this particular case, the selected Local Load Method is EN13445. Therefore, only the bending moment Mc is required, and the resultant bending moment is not calculated.
