When I try to create a terrain using Esri Terrain, I get an error 400 Invalid client_id logging in. How do we fix this?
This problem is a result of a change made by ESRI. We found the issue primarily affects ORD 2024. Our development team will provide a permanent fix in a future release of the software but in the meantime, please follow these steps to follow to fix the issue:
Download ArcGIS_Patch.zip attached to this KB article.
Paste the SetArcGisOnlineClientId.dll in the Mdlapps subfolder of the folder that contains OpenRoads.exe. This will require admin privileges.
Start OpenRoads and open a design file.
Go to the File menu, select Settings > Configuration > Configuration Variables.
Find the variable MS_DGNAPPS, click Edit. Set the Edit Mode to Append and in the New value section, paste the path to the SetArcGisOnlineClientId.dll, including the dll name, like in the following:
Restart OpenRoads for the change to take effect.
