GeoStudio allows data files created by some earlier GeoStudio versions to be opened in the current release. Files created in the current release of GeoStudio can also be exported to some older formats, so that the files can be opened or edited in these earlier versions.
When you open a data file that was created by an earlier version of GeoStudio, the applicable data is imported. However, because features can change between versions of GeoStudio, you still need to review the project definition before solving the analyses to ensure that the problem is completely defined.
Similarly, exporting to an older format will only export data that can be understood by that older version of GeoStudio. Some new features may not be available and related data may be lost.
If GeoStudio detects incompatibilities with your upgrade / downgrade, it will present a warning message with a list of features for you to review and correct.
