ADINA 2025 for Structural WorkSuite

The Structural WorkSuite provides access to the RAM and STAAD structural analysis products and now also includes ADINA. To read more about Structural WorkSuite, or to purchase a license, visit the Structural WorkSuite product page.

For Structural WorkSuite Entitlement holders, a new product called ADINA SWS has been created and may be selected when launching the ADINA AUI.

A single installation file installs all of the ADINA Tiers including this new Structural WorkSuite version. The ADINA Parasolid Modeler is not included but may be purchased as an add-on. Otherwise solid modeling based on OpenCascade is available to all.

ADINA SWS includes most of the features and capabilities of ADINA structures including:

As noted in the ADINA 2025 Release Notes, some features of the standard ADINA license are restricted in the ADINA SWS. The following table clarifies those limitations:

Feature Required ADINA Edition
Non-standard structural materials* Requires ADINA (standard)
Cohesive interface Requires ADINA (standard)
Connector element Requires ADINA (standard)
Cyclic symmetry Requires ADINA (standard)
Substructuring Requires ADINA (standard)
Fracture Mechanics Requires ADINA (standard)
AMORE Elements Requires ADINA (standard)
Thermo-mechanical coupling Requires ADINA Advanced
CFD & FSI Requires ADINA Ultimate

Materials which are not allowed in ADINA SWS are greyed out in the Manage Material Definitions dialog box within ADINA AUI, but advanced structural materials including plastic steel, isotropic thermo, and several advanced concrete materials are included:

With all Structural WorkSuite applications there is a level of integration that makes it easy to accommodate various workflows. Currently models from RAM Structural System, RAM Elements and STAAD.Pro can all be exported to ADINA.

A single user can run any or all of the applications within the Structural WorkSuite without limitation. All terms and conditions of the Structural WorkSuite still apply.
