After each drag and drop operation, the newly created items are listed in the renaming table. This allows the user to quickly and easily name these new items. In addition, if the user selects a container in the 4D Analytics tree, the renaming table is refreshed to show that container’s immediate children. This method can also be used to rename tree items.

The maximum length of a container name is 150 characters, and the maximum for a point name is 75 characters.

Again, explanation by example.

1. Select ‘C3 Org’ in 4D Analytics tree.
   • The renaming table is populated with the children.
     
   • The table shows:
     • Type: ‘C’ for container and ‘P’ for point.
     • The ident
     • Full Path
     • Name
2. Click on the first ‘New Container’. The name becomes highlighted and editable.
   
3. Rename the item to ‘North’.
4. Press the down arrow on the keyboard to highlight the next item.
5. Rename ‘South’.
   

The changes are saved to the database on exiting each field, and the 4D Analytics tree is refreshed to reflect changes.
