Having created instances of a template on the live database, any changes made to the template need to be replicated. This is done on the templates database.
When connected to a templates database, each and every change that is made to a template is recorded and logged in the ‘Replication Queue’.
Follow these steps:
These changes are now in the replication queue. In order to propagate these changes to the live database, open the ‘Replication Manager’ by clicking on this icon:
The Replication Manager opens, presenting a list of actions that have yet to be replicated to the live database.
To execute one of these changes, click the Replicate button.
Each of the replication steps are executed in turn. As each step is processed, a progress indicator appears on the screen. As each step is completed, it is removed from the queue and processing begins on the next step. When all steps have been completed, the replication manager will contain no entries.
All replication steps are recorded in an audit after they are completed.
Clicking on the radio button on the top of the screen changes the contents of the replication manager to display this audit. Here we can view all of the replications that have previously been executed.
